The Pink Ribbon Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering breast cancer patients, survivors, and their families by providing vital knowledge, compassionate support, and life-changing resources. Founded by Trishauna Garrett, a resilient 7-year breast cancer survivor, the Society emerged from a personal journey marked by strength, advocacy, and the unwavering belief that no one should face breast cancer alone.
The journey began in 1999 when I stood by my late mother’s side throughout her battle with breast cancer—from diagnosis and treatment to recurrence and, ultimately, her passing. Breast cancer awareness has been a deeply personal cause ever since. I always knew I wanted to create something meaningful in her honor, but I also recognized the importance of timing.
In 2017, just seven days after my 40th birthday, I faced my own diagnosis. Surviving the disease gave me profound insight into what women truly need during this journey: knowledge, support, and a strong community. I became passionate about ensuring that those around me, especially in my own circle and community, would not navigate this difficult path alone and would have access to the resources they needed.
Founding The Pink Ribbon Society is not just the fulfillment of a dream; it’s my purpose. It is a tribute to my mother the late Ernestine M. Garrett, a celebration of survivorship, and a mission to uplift others through awareness, compassion, and connection.
Our mission is to educate, uplift, and accompany those impacted by breast cancer. We offer tools that inspire hope, foster community, and promote healing—mind, body, and spirit.
